step1 greeting and lead--in activities
I begin class with "TPR activities" I say traffic words, Ss do the actions.
Purpose:It is important to form a better English learning surrounding for the Ss by doing some total physical response and at the same time it provides situations to review learned knowledge for the next step.
then I divide the whole class into 4 groups to have a competition

;. I show the word cards quickly and ask Ss to read and spell them as soon as possible. And give the winners stars.
the purpose of this is to help students review the vehicles words. And hereproper competition can arouse the Ss’ interest in English learning.
step2 prestentation
I will mainly talk about this step.
1.first I ask questions"how do you go to school?" And Ss answer: I go to school by…then I say "usually I go to ..by bus "(板书).and present the new sentence structures.
2.With the help of the CAI, I present a picture of Mike and sarah: Sarah asks: How do you go to school. Let Ss guess and help Mike answer: sometimes I go ...beacuse it’s cheap .Ask Ss to read the sentence structures.
CAI can provide a real situation for the Ss to understand the dialogue

3.Ask Ss to make a chant by themselves with these sentences…
Stimulate Ss’interest of learning English by making a chant.
4.Let’s talk
then listn to the tape with this questions:how do you go to school,sarah?
Ask Ss to read the dialogue.
step 4 consolidation
here I ask students do a survey about "how do you ..."and make a conclusion that how many Ss go to ...by..and the reasons.
the purpose of doing this is to improve the whole students’writing skills and help them to master the knowledge well. Task-based teaching method is used here to develop Ss’ ability of communication and also their ability of co-operation will be well trained.
